The Bell of the ball. The most detailed frame I’ve ever come across. Decorated with florals and cherubs. The miniature portrait is hand-painted and aigned.

           Frame:

  • The frame is rectangular with an oval opening for the portrait. It is highly ornate, featuring intricate gilt metalwork, including floral garlands, leaves, and two cherubs at the top.
The frame is backed with a beautiful silk pattern fabric that was once a light pink. If you look at the photos, you can see the original color but overtime dust and dirt has darken the fabric. I do believe it could be clean to its original color.
    Portrait:
Inside the frame is a miniature portrait of a woman, likely from the 18th or 19th century, possibly depicting a figure like Madame De Dugazon or the Duchess of Devonshire, given the style. The woman is depicted with an elaborate hairstyle, possibly powdered, adorned with feathers and a small crown or jewel. She is wearing a period-appropriate dress with lace or ruffles around the neckline

NOTE: both the frame and portrait are antique, so there will be signs of where. The frame stand is a bit bent but it does stand up properly with the right adjustments. The cherubs on top are slightly bent as you can see in photos, but nothing major
